Socioastronomy is developing positive reciprocal connections with innovative, ethical organisations in the space and technology sector and would highly recommend the progressive ethos of: -
Space Renaissance Initiative (SRI) is a diverse working group of New-Humanists, with an agenda orientated toward improvements in scientific education, space exploration and humanitarian goals such as global peace. The Space Renaissance comprised some 87 space related organisations including the Moon Society, Advanced Technology Working Group and Space Future. I am undertaking my postgraduate research on the Space Renaissance, 'Three Theses for the Space Renaissance" and related papers.
From the SRI homepage: -
" The SRI is a new, global philosophy, having its basic ground on Earth and its most natural development in the extraterrestrial space. Founding concepts are New-Humanism and Astro-humanism. We look at the past Renaissance (1500) as an inspiration for patronage and the ability to aim high, to make great projects by means of good will and mutual cooperation.
Among our scopes:
- To give birth to a foundation,
- To build a philosophy and culture of the Space Age to help create a New Renaissance of Humans in Space.
- To bring the Space Renaissance philosophy and proposals to the public at large.
- To promote investment in new financial tools and government grants, to support the new space economy, industry and research.
Space Renaissance is a non-profit, cultural and social promotion association.

The FutureMed Executive Program at Singularity for example, focusses on technology for the benefit of humanity and evolution of healthcare, neuromedicine and genomics. Singularity is located at NASA Ames Research Park, Silicon Valley.
Mission statement: -
"Singularity University's mission is to assemble, educate and inspire leaders who strive to understand and facilitate the development of exponentially advancing technologies in order to address humanity's grand challenges."
